Favorite: Adventures around Cincinnati
One of my favorite things about our wedding years ago was showing off my hometown when my family came for our big celebration. They took time off of work and made it a long weekend and really spent time with our family and theirs exploring. Growing up my Mother would show off Louisville and the surrounding areas (Lexington, Bardstown and horse country) with pride. We went to Churchill Downs and Louisville Slugger so many times I knew most of the tour questions and answers by heart. When I moved to Northern Kentucky with my husband I loved finding so many hidden gems that were new to us both. Places like the Krohn Conservatory and our amazing parks were great to explore. After living here for almost 12 years there are still places I haven’t heard of and I can’t wait to check out soon. I met Terri recently and asked her where I should take a friend visiting from out of state. She graciously gave me a copy of her book to give our blog readers and offered some great suggestions. Many of the ideas are well suited for kids (and the young at heart) and very affordable. I now have a long list of places to check out! This is also a great read for couples who want to give their guests options when they visit for their celebration. Wouldn’t it be fun to put some of the location links on your wedding website? To win a copy of this book just add a comment below sharing where you like to take visitors when they come to Cincinnati. Good luck!
