That’s a beautiful photograph of the two of you! I like the juxtaposition of the very old building with the new. Sort of like leaving your old life to begin anew with each other.
This IS the best engagement picture of 2009! The comments that have been made prior to this one about the juxtaposition of the buildings in regard to antiquity verses contemporary architecture does make a statement about the progression of life.
I love the interesting use of the fisheye lens for this photo. I don’t know if it was an overcast day or if there is an additional color filter on the lens but the tones really make the campus a beautiful middle ground between old and new architectural styles that at the same time helps a viewer like myself see symbolism that love will last a lifetime the way McMicken has. I don’t think I would have thought the setting nor the photographic techniques utilized to be useful in this type of photography (engagement/wedding pics) but it really works and the product is very unique, original, and gorgeous!
The steps divide you before the wedding. After the wedding, you are joined together. It is also like 2 halves (either side of the steps), make a whole. Magnificent!
This is one of my FAVORITE pics from the session! Steph and I LOVED the session!!!
